My name is Ashley He Rinicker, I am a doctorally-prepared (PhD) and board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) who has been practicing as a psychiatric provider in Texas since 2019. I have been practicing as a full-time PMHNP in various in-patient and out-patient settings such as Big Spring State Hospital, Abilene State Supported Living Center, and Ministry of Counseling affiliated with First Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas for the last 5 years. I strive to provide effective and individualized evidence-based psychiatric care. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I strive to provide holistic care to my patients with evidence-based psychotherapies, medications, and health promotion advice.
I grew up in Shenzhen, China and I moved to the United States when I was about 15 years old. I am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
I have lived in West Texas (Abilene and Lubbock) since the second year of college. I received a B.S. in Nursing from Abilene Christian University in 2009. After graduation, I practiced as a full-time ICU nurse in Lubbock while working on getting a Master of Science in Nursing from Lubbock Christian University. In 2012, I started teaching full-time at Abilene Christian University while working on getting a PhD in nursing research from University of Texas at Tyler. Before becoming a full-time psychiatric provider, I was teaching undergraduate nursing didactically and clinically at various programs and in both physical and online settings for 8 years. I am also a certified nurse educator.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking my miniature dachshund with my family. I also enjoy volunteering at my children’s schools and other settings.
